About the Ticino 1
Deriving its name from the southern region of Switzerland which borders Italy, this new TICINO series of sophisticated watchwinders from Orbita combines proven Swiss servomotor technology with an Italian-inspired design to compliment today's contemporary lifestyle.
The sleek looking hardwood case is finished with a multi-coat lustrous black lacquer providing a piano-like finish, with a lift-up acrylic viewing top and front cover. The luxuriously padded cream suede lining is contrasted by the black suede covered winder frame with ebony cups and cushions.
The user-friendly programmable microprocessor controls both rotation direction and turns per day (TPD) depending upon the requirements of the particular watch being wound. The winder is virtually silent in operation.
Power is provided by either "D" cell alkaline batteries or by the supplied AC/DC adapter. A "low voltage" battery light automatically signals when battery replacement is due.
DUAL MOUNT OPTION
You may also purchase a dual mount holder for the TICINO 1 to wind two watches at the same time. Plastic coated, stainless steel "fingers" support two watches securely providing 360° winding action. Both watches should be mounted to provide balanced rotation.
The Ticino 1 winder is also available in a three head version with similar construction features. For further information click here to view the Ticino 3 winder.
