About the Oris Nico Rosberg Limited Edition
To highlight the arrival of this talented individual in Formula One, Oris, as the Official Watch Partner of the WilliamsF1 Team, is proud to present the Oris Nico Rosberg Limited Edition mechanical racing watch. Made of light, anti-allergic titanium, the watch is produced to a limited edition of 2,400 units worldwide and each is individually numbered. The number 2,400 corresponds to the cylinder capacity of the V8 Cosworth engine that powered Rosberg and his Williams FW28 to achieve the fastest lap of the race on his F1 debut at the 2006 Bahrain Grand Prix.
Many design features are inspired by the Willias FW28 that Nico drives. For instance the watch has a rotating scale from 12 to 20 hours, representing 12,000 to 20,000 rpm of the Cosworth V8 and the numeral 10 embossed in blue, a nod to Rosberg’s driver number. The watch features a black rubber strap that characterises the vertical tread pattern of the grooved racing tyres and this is fixed to the specially adapted flexible lugs. What’s more the movement, with Nico’s signature on the red Oris rotor, is clearly visible through the case back window.
And what about Rosberg the watch enthusiast? “Oris of course. I require a watch that performs superbly even under the most extreme conditions.”
