What is a Retrograde Movement?
A retrograde movement is one where the hands do not make a a revolution of 360 before starting a new measurement. Instead, the hands moves on an arc. At the end of the arc, the hands bounce back to the beginning of the arc instantaneously. The power reserve model of the watch features retrograde counters for the date, second hand, day of the week, and hour hand of the stop watch functions.
