40mm of sea worthy style. The Admiral’s Cup Competition 40 is not a mere miniaturized version of its existing counterparts, nor is it just a baby sister! While clearly designed in harmony with the same brand image and the same materials, the Admiral’s Cup Competition 40 is unique – like all nautical watches produced by CORUM since 1983. That was the date when the brand presented the winners of the Champagne Mumm Admiral’s Cup the first-born in this aquatic line, marking the start of the Admiral’s Cup collection. In 1987, CORUM followed up on these promising beginnings by actually entering the world of sailing with its own boat, which even won the famous trophy in 1991! The latter is now engraved in relief on the back of the case and sets the tone for the entire collection.
Radiating its own unique character, the 40mm is destined to serve as a more accessible version of an otherwise somewhat selective product. Equipped with the CORUM 082 movement, it is a study in harmony. The generously sized crown features the trademark vulcanized rubber guard, while the large applied solid gold numerals ensure exceptional readability. The seconds hand carries the CORUM key – the key to a success that is inextricably bound up with the fascinating world of the sea and the boats that sail it, driven by timeless breezes.
The 40mm comes in a 18 karat rose gold with a caramel colored dial and steel versions, framing a choice of black, blue or white dials with matching colors for the straps and crown bumpers.
