The Omega Speedmaster 50th Anniversary by Steve Tilly
The Speedmaster "moon watch" was a must for me. Being the 50th anniversary limited edition makes it that much better and I feel collectable. A nice touch that Omega has added for this model is the Speedmaster emblem just under the 12;00 position. Aside from it's great looks and easy legibility at just a glance.
I find the watch very comfortable to wear and the Omega Caliber 1861 manual winding movement has proven to be very reliable.
After all it must be for NASA to approve it for all manned space flight.
The watch has arguably the most important history of any other watch.Being on the astronauts arms when Apollo XI landed on the moon. And then one year later, earning the Snoopy (highest award to civilians given out by NASA) award for playing such a pivotal part on bringing the astronauts of Apollo XIII home safely. - Steve Tilly
