The pursuit of timeless architectural perfection
Embodying the founding values of the Architects of Time, the 1911 line is the authentic expression of Ebel's enduring commitment to traditional excellence, elegantly well-proportioned shapes and high-precision movements.
For 2005, the architecture of the 1911 has been revised to give it a more timeless appeal. A meticulous, thorough process was applied to virtually all aspects of the line. The bracelet now exudes a sportier and more masculine feel, thanks to new touches on both the top and the underside. Subtly reminiscent of the legendary Ebel wave, the inside and outside rows of brushed links provide a delightful contrast to the alternating rows of smaller, polished links. This unique new design is entirely in harmony with Ebel's regard for contemporary comfort and suppleness, expressed here in a beautifully rounded and refined manner.
A new and varied range of dials, featuring sophisticated sunburst guilloché motifs, spiral-patterned rims and applied triangular markers, is characterized by a blend of elegance and optimal readability, guaranteed by the anti-reflective coating applied to both sides of the sapphire crystal. All the dials are stamped at 12 o'clock with the historical double-E symbol, used exclusively on the 1911 line as a mark of the prestigious, selective and resolutely horological nature of these emblematic watches.
All models including the Lady size are powered by mechanical movements. The chronograph models are the undisputed icons of the 1911 line, since they are equipped with Ebel's legendary proprietary ]]>COSC-certified]]> Calibre 137 chronograph movement. It can be admired in all its intricate beauty through the sapphire crystal case-back. All Gent models are also chronometer-certified by the C.O.S.C.
Imbued with the qualities of technical perfection, balanced proportions and impeccable precision shared by fine architecture and traditional watchmaking, the New 1911 is a further eloquent demonstration of Ebel's tireless pursuit of excellence.
All models are available in steel, steel/gold or pink gold versions and now water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters.
