About Topper Fine Jewelers
Topper Fine Jewelers was started in 1940 by the Topper Brothers (no relation to our family) and was originally located in California's San Joaquin Valley. Our great uncle purchased the business in 1947 with stores then in Modesto, Merced, and Porterville. Our family has run Topper Fine Jewelers ever since.
We are now located in newly renovated downtown Burlingame, California, where our family works together every day to continue the family tradition now three generations in the making. Today, we offer some of the finest jewelry and watches available in a beautifully designed store with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our knowledgeable and caring staff also shares our family's passion for providing quality products and personal attention.
2015 marks our 75th year in business. To celebrate our "Diamond Anniversary," we have planned a series of special events throughout the year, as well as the release of some unique and commemorative products. We hope that you will join us in celebrating this important milestone for our business.
Topper is closed January 1st, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, December 25th, and December 31st. We will be open normal hours on all other days though we close at 4:00PM on Christmas Eve.

One Year Extended Warranty
Starting on 3/15/18, Toppers is excited to offer an extended warranty beginning on the expiration of the original manufacturer's warranty, in addition to the manufacturer's warranty provided on the purchase of new timepieces at Topper Fine Jewelers. This additional non-transferable warranty extends the warranty for a period of one year. Service provided anywhere other than at Topper Fine Jewelers or a service center of the original manufacturer is not covered and shall void the warranty. Topper Fine Jewelers will have sole discretion to determine whether the work for the warranty will be performed "in house" by Topper Fine Jewelers or at a repair facility of our choice. The limited warranty does not cover bracelets, crystals, batteries, or any damage to the case or movement caused by moisture that might have entered the watch as a result of improper handling, nor does it apply, on a more general basis, if there is evidence of misuse or abuse. Only Topper Fine Jewelers will determine at its sole discretion to repair any watch under this warranty.

Returns on stock items are accepted for a period of two weeks after receipt. If you feel that you need a longer period of time to evaluate your watch or jewelry, or are planning on giving it as a gift and need a longer period of time, we can work out a longer period for you at the time of sale which will be confirmed to you in writing.
All Returns are Subject to the Following Conditions:
If you wish to return a watch or piece of jewelry, it must be in original unworn condition. Any scratches, damage, or other wear marks voids your right to return the item. We are very strict about this. Certain special orders items are not returnable. If your watch or jewelry falls into this category, you will be notified at the time of sale. This condition will be clearly printed on your receipt.
Trade In Sales
If you are trading in a watch or piece of jewelry once you have taken possession of the new item, the transaction is final and Topper Fine Jewelers normal exchange/return policy does not apply. The new item that is purchased is not exchangeable, or refundable.
Returns on Custom Items
Custom items, (examples include: Rings made up in a special size, watches with custom modification, or jewelry pieces ordered from in special sizes that we do not stock), are not returnable unless special arrangements have been made at the time of the sale. Deposits for special order items are not refundable. At Topper’s sole discretion, we may allow exchanges for an item or items of comparable value under certain circumstances.
For sales after 1/15/08, Topper will charge 3.5% of the sale amount as a processing fee for all returns that involve the use of a credit card. This fee will not apply to payments sent by bank wire or check. It also will not apply if you wish to exchange the item for an item, or items of comparable value.
RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER REQUIRED
A return authorization number is required to process your item. Please give us a call so we can review your item and shipping procedure so that the process will be safe and efficient.
Gift Certificates and Personalized Pictures
Our gift certificates and personalized pictures of arriving gifts are always available. We can customize a gift certificate to say exactly what you want or a personalized picture for a gift.
