Topper 3.0—Construction Blog

We previously remodeled Topper Jewelers In 2011. Since then, the store has featured our watch collections on the left side of our store, bridal jewelry on the right side, and fashion jewelery along the center aisle. Along the back wall of the store is our most prominent display showcasing OMEGA watches. OMEGA is our best-selling line and longest timepiece partnership. Behind our OMEGA display we have a private OMEGA showroom.

While our store is an attractive space for watch enthusiasts, jewelry connoisseurs, and first time buyers, the store does not contain a comfortable space for guests at Topper to spend longer periods in the store learning about new products or attend special events for watch and jewelry enthusiasts. Now, together with OMEGA, we have embarked on a remodeling project to dramatically improve our in-store customer experience with the addition of a new and larger customer lounge with a more open and inviting layout. We believe this new space will provide all our clients with an even more welcoming experience regardless of the purpose of their visit.

The new space will feature zebra wood display cases, marble flooring, and new artwork. These new design cues will provide a similar look to the newest OMEGA boutiques. We may also be able to feature in our new display cases historical pieces on loan from the OMEGA Museum in Bienne.

We expect the improvement project to continue through August, and to be completed some time in September. We will be open throughout the construction period and thank you in advance for your patience while we upgrade our store.

August 6th Demolition!

Over the first weekend in August, we completed the initial demolition. This effort included removing the existing OMEGA showroom, the entire back of the retail area, front staircase, and our point of sale system in the hallway. While all this work is being done, we've created a temporary wall in the rear of the store.

Below are pictures of our space both prior to the remodel and during this stage of early construction.

Right before our first day in business with the temporary wall.

Looking from behind the temporary wall gives a sense of how the new OMEGA room and point of sale are going to comprise a larger and more open space than before.
